People’s deputy from the European Solidarity faction Volodymyr Viatrovych demanded from the rostrum of parliament to put a bill on banning the UOC on the agenda. This is reported by Pravblog.

“We need a quarantine against the Russian Federation in the spiritual sphere. We need a quarantine against the influence of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine,” Viatrovych said.

He expressed indignation at the fact that since December 2022, the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada has not included issues providing for the termination of the activities of the UOC in Ukraine.

“We are well aware that the only solution in this matter should be the adoption of an appropriate law. There are two bills. The government bill is softer and tougher, where I, in particular, am one of the co-authors. We demand that those laws be included in the agenda. which will eventually put an end to the existence of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine,” the EU representative stressed.
