The National Museum of History of Ukraine plans to demolish the Tithe Church to bypass a court ruling

The National Museum of History of Ukraine plans to demolish the Tithe Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the near future. The conclusion follows from the contract signed by the museum with a subcontractor for dismantling work. This is reported by the “Dozor channel on First Cossack”.

“Our team got hold of documents that reveal the essence of the criminal plan of the NMIA. According to these documents, an agreement was concluded between the museum, the charitable foundation and Smile Construction LLC. Under the contract, the museum hires the foundation as a contractor, and the foundation orders the destruction of the shrine by the LLC. To give the case the appearance of legitimacy, they came to the Shevchenkivsky Department of the State Executive Service with this contract. The fact is that the state museum has no right to operate with funds not from the budget of Ukraine, and all its expenses must be approved. The management of the institution commits a crime under Article 364 of the Criminal Code. The state bailiff has no right to demolish the church, because the court imposed these obligations on the parish. The executive service also commits a crime under Article 364 of the Criminal Code. But all this lawlessness was not only approved, but also started. Smile Construction LLC pledged to destroy the church within 10 days of the adoption of the “Resolution on the involvement of a business entity in carrying out enforcement actions”. This resolution was adopted on 26.04.2024”, – the statement says.

As reported, on April 10, 2024, the volunteer organization Repair Together published a statement in which it agreed to demolish the Tithe Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Kyiv free of charge. The “volunteers” proposed to “give the 800 thousand UAH collected earlier by the National Museum of History of Ukraine for dismantling to the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.
