On April 23, 2023, after a Sunday service in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, a provocateur attacked a Slovak citizen who lived in Switzerland with insults. The website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church reports about the incident.

Between Samuil (Dominik-Milko), a reader of the Nicholas Church in Basel (Switzerland) and a man in military uniform, a dialogue took place on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra:

– If you love Ukraine, take the flag, quickly!

“I love the Lord God.

“It is scary that the authorities are persecuting the UOC. In Europe, people do not believe that in Ukraine the authorities are persecuting the Church of Christ. That is why I am here, because I want to convey this information in essence to our parishioners, citizens in Europe,” commented Reader Samuel.

The provocateur himself in military uniform turned out to be the swindler Ruslan Hetman (Ruslan Robak), whom the media had previously written about. He collected money allegedly for the needs of orphans. The leadership of the Kopychynets society urged not to trust this character.

“Dear residents of the Kopychynets society. Recently, charitable assistance has been collected on our territory by the organization “Brotherhood of Orphans of Ukraine” and its representative Ruslan Hetman. Please note that neither the city council nor the Association of Participants of the Anti-Terrorist Operation of the Ternopil Region can guarantee the good faith of Mr. Ruslan’s actions to collect funds from local residents in the Kopychynets community,” the Kopychynets UTC said in a statement.
