The Security Service of Ukraine has come with searches to Metropolitan Luke (Kovalenko), the administrator of the Zaporizhzhya diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Investigative measures began in the morning of May 1, 2024. This is reported by Ukrainska Pravda.

At the moment, there are no details of what is happening. However, it can be assumed that the activities conducted by the SBU in relation to Metropolitan Luke are related to his church activities and position. The bishop has repeatedly expressed a critical opinion against the OCU and other elements hostile to the UOC.

It should be noted that earlier Zaporizhzhya City Council accused Metropolitan Luka of anti-state activities.
