In the Odessa diocese of the UOC, a new church was laid in honor of the Apostles Peter and Paul

On July 30, 2022, Agafangel, Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail, solemnly laid the foundation stone for the future temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which is being built in Odessa in honor of the glorious and all-praise Apostles Peter and Paul, the Odessa diocese reports.

Vladyka Agafangel performed the rite of consecration of the foundation stone and laid a particle of the relics of the Holy Martyr Macarius of Ovruch in the foundation of the church being built on the territory of the Seventh Heaven residential complex in Odessa.

Vladyka also consecrated the cross, which was installed on the site of the future throne.
