In Belgrade, the director of the International Institute of Athonite Heritage Sergei Shumilo and the director of the Archives of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Dr. Radovan Filippovic, signed a Memorandum of Unification of Efforts and Cooperation, Politeka writes.
The memorandum provides for all-round cooperation of Ukrainian and Serbian scientists in the study of the Athonite heritage, Athonite manuscripts, old printed and archival materials.
Among the points of the signed Memorandum, assistance is provided in the search for manuscripts, historical documents and archival materials related to Athos, holding conferences, exhibitions reflecting the historical process associated with the activities of Serbian and Ukrainian monks in the monasteries of Athos, joint scientific research, publication of articles, books and monographs.
