The UOC Chancellor helped the family of a deceased cleric from the Rivne region with funds for house renovation

On October 20, 2021, within the walls of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, a meeting was held between the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich), with the family of a deceased priest from the village of Milyatin, Ostroh district, Rivne region. The meeting was initiated by Bishop Pimen of Dubensky, temporarily managing the Rivne diocese of the UOC in order to encourage mother and her children. It is reported by “Rovno. Voice of the Church”.

Vladyka Anthony found out that the Segen family lives in a church house that needs repair. And since they were left without the main breadwinner, Vladyka decided to help and provided financial assistance, sweets, and gifts.

The hierarch also expressed condolences to the Segen family and wished to raise children in the Orthodox faith, with faith in God.

As previously reported, Archpriest Sergiy Segen, the rector of the church in the village of Milyatin, died in March this year after a serious illness. Matushka Tatiana remained to live in the church house with her three children.
