In the village of Demidovka, local activists blocked the religious procession, which went from the Volyn region to the Pochaev Lavra. The picketers built barricades of wooden pallets to obstruct them and enlisted the support of local governments. This was reported by the press service of the Rivne diocese of the UOC.

Local media resource “Rivne vechirnє” wrote that the executive committee of the community banned religious processions through their territory.

“Local governments do not have such powers,” said Archpriest Vasily Nachev, head of the legal department at the Rivne diocese, “There are a lot of questions: Who allowed to barricade roads in wartime? Were law enforcement agencies informed about these actions?” .

According to the participants in the procession, among the activists who blocked the road, there were also “priests” of the OCU and relatives of the soldiers. Believers of the UOC say that among the crusaders there were also mothers, wives, sisters of Ukrainian defenders, but for some reason no one showed them respect.

However, despite the pressure and obstacles, the procession from Volyn is already in the Assumption Pochaev Lavra, the crusaders pray for all offenders and wish them speedy spiritual healing.
