The head of the Macedonian Church met in Rome with the Ukrainian ambassador to the Vatican

The head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Stefan, has paid a visit to Rome. This is reported by the website religija.mk.

In Rome, on February 26, 2024, Archbishop Stefan met with the head of the Dicastery for Christian Unity, Cardinal Kurt Koch.

It is noted that on the same day the Primate of the Macedonian Church also met with the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Vatican Andriy Yurash.

According to the Macedonian website, Yurash “was a guest at all important public events of the MOC, including the prayer service at the tomb of St. Cyril, which is an exceptional tribute to Macedonia and the MOC”.

We shall remind you that earlier we wrote that the Holy Synod of the Macedonian Orthodox Church decided to create a commission to investigate the Ukrainian church issue.
