The acting director of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve Maksym Ostapenko said that the commission of the reserve “returned the 63rd and 64th buildings on the territory of the Lower Lavra, where the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary was located, to state use”. About it reports Ukrinform.
“The work of the reserve on the return of state property, which is in the use of the monastery, continues. Today, as part of this work, the reserve accepted and sealed two buildings, – 63rd and 64th, which belonged to the Kiev theological academy and seminary,” – said Ostapenko.
According to him, the monks and teachers of the academy “calmly handed over the premises”. Ostapenko added that already 13 objects out of about 40 full-fledged buildings used by the monastery, the commission of the reserve “returned under the control of the state”.
