His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and All Albania, in a letter to the vicar of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel of Chernobyl, expressed words of support in the current painful trials, the press service of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra reports.
The archbishop stressed that the Albanian Church, as far as possible, shares “the testimony of the atrocities against the pious Orthodox holy clergy, the pious people, as well as the glorified shrine – the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.”
“We pray that the Lord will strengthen you, so that you” show yourself as servants of God, in great patience, in sorrows, in troubles, in hardships, in blows, in prisons “(2 Cor. 6:4-5)”, – noted Archbishop Anastasios.
“Our thoughts and prayers are unceasingly with you, so that, having joined the throng of the New Martyrs, you will also be able to endure the current absurd persecution of the Orthodox “… in the Holy Spirit, in unfeigned love, in the word of truth, in the power of God … as unknown, Yes, known as dying, but here we are alive; as punished, but not beaten” (2 Cor. 6:6-9),” wished the Primate of the Albanian Church.
