On August 13, 2023, in front of the churches of Agapit of the Pechersk and Sergius of Radonezh, a group of activists tried to disrupt the festive service by shouting the slogan “Church – Get Out”. It is known that the police were standing nearby, but did not take any action, the UOJ reports.

People held signs saying “Fate does not smile on slaves” and “The truth will set you free.” The activists also parodied the chant “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us sinners”, which is popular among UOC believers. To his tune, they shouted into a megaphone “Lord, deliver us from the Moscow horde.”
