In the Greek Church, a priest is banned from serving for criticizing Patriarch Bartholomew

The hierarch of the Greek Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Patras, imposed a three-month ban on serving the cleric of the Patras Metropolis Anastasios Gottsopoulos for criticizing Patriarch Bartholomew. This is reported by the publication fosfanariou.gr.

The publication noted that priest Anastassy Gottsopoulos is the author of a publication on how the position of Patriarch Bartholomew regarding the Ukrainian schism has changed.

It is reported that in response to this publication, Metropolitan Chrysostomos demanded a written apology from the clergyman by July 20. Apparently, there was no apology, so the priest was banned from serving.
