The SSU has reported a new suspicion of Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed). This is reported on the Telegram channel Pravoslavnyy Zapadenets.
A day before the announcement of the first suspicion from the SSU, Metropolitan Pavel gave a video interview to one of the domestic media. In it, he, according to SSU investigators, denied the existence of Ukraine as a sovereign state.
Also, the SSU said, the vladyka called the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine a “civil conflict” that has been ongoing since 2014.
The Lavra vicar faces up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.
