Greek Catholics Support the Adoption of a New Constitution for Ukraine

On June 25, 2023 in the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv a number of public figures and representatives of the UCU, led by Metropolitan Boris of Philadelphia, signed the Constitutional Manifesto. This writes Pravblog with reference to the site of the UCU.

The manifesto states that “after victory in the war,” Ukraine will need “a new public consensus, which – in turn – must be sealed in a new constitution.”

“We call on the people of Ukraine to join an open constitutional process that will include a search for the content of the future constitution, discussing a new public consensus to eliminate the danger of the new basic law becoming a political agreement between elites,” the document says.
