Patriarch Bartholomew continues to stand on his vision of the “Ukrainian issue” and refuses to admit a mistake. The Telegram channel Shepherd & Flock writes about this.

It is noted that in a sermon delivered at the Halki school on June 13, 2023 at the opening of an inter-Orthodox scientific conference on the topic “The contribution of professors and graduates of Halki to Orthodox relations”, Patriarch Bartholomew stated that “any attempt to challenge Ukrainian autocephaly introduces an unacceptable “new ecclesiology”, undermines the Orthodox world and hinders the cooperation and common witness of the Orthodox Churches.”

Thus, Patriarch Bartholomew continues to insist that he is right, knowing that many Orthodox hierarchs do not agree with him.

According to the authors of the channel, the Phanar will continue to put pressure on the Orthodox Churches in order to solve their problems and force them to recognize the OCU.
