The head of the State Tourism Development Agency, Maryana Oleskiv, said that the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra should become an important tourist magnet for the country. It is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
“The Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is a place of revival of Ukrainian spirituality, culture and history… We at the State Agency for Tourism Development are confident that the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra should become an important tourist magnet for the country,” Oleskiv said after a meeting with the acting general director National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” Maxim Ostapenko.
According to the official, the parties agreed on the comprehensive support of State Tourism in promoting the reserve’s tourism products and creating inclusive routes for people with disabilities.
“We will actively work with partners and international organizations to draw their attention to the needs of the Lavra,” she added.
In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of holding a conference “Preservation of cultural heritage during the restoration and formation of a standard for the revival of cultural objects” on the basis of the reserve.
