In Volyn, deputies ask the Verkhovna Rada to ban the UOC

On June 13, in Volyn, at the extraordinary 27th session of the Ivanychiv Village Council, deputies appealed to the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada with a demand to ban the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Ukraine. This is reported by the publication Bug.

It is noted that the deputies adopted the appeal unanimously.

The report says that the Ivanychiv Council did not prohibit the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the territory of its community and did not decide to terminate the lease agreements with religious organizations of the UOC, as the Novovolynsk and Vladimir communities had previously done. Ivanichevsk deputies only adopted a formal appeal, which does not oblige to anything.
