Well-known American journalist Tucker Carlson has criticized the Ukrainian government for persecuting the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Carlson is convinced that Ukraine does not justify the financial aid allocated to it by the United States, but instead represses the clergy and believers. About this he told in social network X.

“The US authorities gave the Ukrainian government much more than 100 billion dollars. And what has happened? What did this government do? It banned an entire Christian denomination. […] Zelensky’s government is busy throwing Orthodox priests and nuns in jail and sending the army to raid churches,” Carlson said.

Earlier we reported that the head of the international human rights company “Amsterdam & Partners LLP” Robert Amsterdam, representing the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, said that in the near future he plans to record an extensive interview with the famous journalist Tucker Carlson. In it, the human rights activist will devote detailed attention to the situation with the persecution of the UOC and the possible ban of the canonical Church in Ukraine.
