On March 14, 2024, the Sosnovsky District Court of Cherkasy considered a petition of the prosecutor’s office to elect a measure of restraint for the hierarch of the UOC Metropolitan of Cherkasy and Kanevsk Feodosiy (Snigiryov) in the form of detention in a pre-trial detention center. During the court hearing, the prosecutors were refused to keep the hierarch in the detention center. About it reports the Telegram-channel of the Cherkassy diocese of the UOC.

“The court has just refused the Prosecutor’s office and the SSU to take me into custody. I remain in the same position – under overnight house arrest, having the opportunity to serve and speak sermons”, – said in a comment Metropolitan Theodosius.

We will remind, earlier we reported that on March 13, 2024, within the fourth criminal proceedings opened against Metropolitan of Cherkasy and Kanevsk Theodosius (Snigiryov) under article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the bishop was assigned another house arrest.
