The Kiev authorities have approved a decision to check the land plots of religious organizations whose “governing center is located outside Ukraine in a state that is recognized by law as having carried out military aggression against Ukraine, <…> or which have canonical and prayer ties with religious organizations of the aggressor country”.

The document also says that district administrations are instructed to conduct unscheduled inspections of the availability of lease agreements, as well as the availability of permits for the placement of structures on land plots within three months.

It is reported that in case of revealing the absence of proper documents for lease or construction, “such land plots shall be considered unauthorized and built-up”.

As noted in the decision, it will be allowed to demolish temples at the expense of those who built them, in case of any disputes.
