National Museum of the History of Ukraine raises money for the demolition of the UOC’s Tithe church

The National Museum of the History of Ukraine has announced a fundraiser for the demolition of the Tithe Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. According to representatives of the museum, it is necessary to raise 772 thousand hryvnias to dismantle the structure. About it reports the publication Telegraf.

“Preliminary estimate of works on dismantling and removal of garbage – 772 thousand hryvnias. In wartime, the Museum can not count on state funding for the fulfillment of the judgment for the debtor. Therefore, the Charitable Foundation for the Development of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine announces a collection for the amount of 772 thousand hryvnias and opens a mono-bank for this purpose. It will be very symbolic to finish this garbage collection before Easter! Therefore we ask all concerned citizens to support the collection” , – stated in the message.

We will remind, earlier we reported that on February 15, 2023 the Economic court of Kiev obliged “to release the site of the National Museum of history of Ukraine from the illegally built “temple-mafa”. We are talking about the building of the Desyatinny monastery of the UOC. Later it turned out that according to the court ruling, the Tithe Monastery in Kiev cannot be demolished without the consent of the UOC.
