Ludmila Filipovich: We expected that people would change their consciousness and would voluntarily transfer

A member of the State Ethnopolitics Commission, Liudmyla Filipovich, believed that people would voluntarily and massively transfer to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, but this did not happen. This she stated in the air of “Gromadske”.

“I really hope for the wisdom of our people. We expected that people will change their consciousness and will voluntarily transfer. But this is not a mass process,” she said.

Because of the low, in her opinion, number of conversions from the UOC to the OCU, Filipovich had a question for the UOC believers, in whom they believe – “in Jesus Christ or in their abbot.”

She also added that the Church is an “instrument” and salvation “is not given by the Church or the priest.”
