Maksym Ostapenko, the acting director general of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve, said on the air of the Kyiv 24 TV channel that 15 composite premises, which he called illegal, are planned to be demolished on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Big Kyiv reports.

According to Ostapenko, these 15 structures are erected “without appropriate land allotments and employees of protected areas do not have access to them, as they have not been put into operation and their legal status has not been determined.”

He also noted that the state will decide what to do with the 15 built objects within the Kievo-Pechersk Lavra after the registration of the land plot.

“Certainly, some of them need direct demolition and restoration of the historical landscape where these buildings originated,” he said.
