The reserve demanded that the monastery of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra “liberate” two more buildings by July 10, 2023. This became known from a letter from Maxim Ostapenko to the monastery, which was published by the UOJ.

“In order to prevent obstruction of the work of the Commission, the Reserve demands to stop the settlement by visitors of buildings 57 and 58, which the Monastery uses as hotels, to release the buildings from the persons who live there until 09:00 on 07/10/2023 and provide the Commission with access to check and seal these buildings and hand over the keys to them,” wrote the acting CEO.

These buildings are the cells of the Gostiny Dvor, where pilgrims and guests of the monastery live.
