The National Museum of the History of Ukraine, which asks the court to demolish the Church of the Tithes, invites to celebrate Ivan Kupala

On July 7, 2023, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, which filed a lawsuit on the dismantling of the Church of the Tithes, invites “to celebrate the mysterious folk holiday of Ivan Kupala.” This was reported on the museum’s Facebook page.

“The Kupala party on Starokievskaya Gora will take place in the historical heart of Kiev, in the middle of the ruins of the legendary city of Kiya. It was here that Kievan Rus was born, it was here that the most ancient sanctuaries of our ancestors were located. Once upon a time, on Starokievskaya Gora, the Slavs made sacrifices to their numerous gods. Now, on Kupala, the gods and the spirits of the ancient Kiev princes will visit this land again – this time to entertain, treat and acquaint everyone with the early history of Rus!

It is also noted that this is not the first time the museum has held such an event.
