Students of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary took part in a humanitarian mission to help the residents of Kherson

From June 6 to 10, 2023, with the blessing of the rector of the Kiev Theological Academy and Seminary, Archbishop Sylvester of Belogorod, students of the Kiev Theological Seminary, Deacon Ivan Petrychuk, Boris Logvinyuk and Mikhail Pratsyuk took an active part in the humanitarian mission to Kherson. This is reported by the Telegram channel of the academy.

The mission delivered the necessary materials to the location of the state emergency service, providing them with boats, food, water, medicines, clothing and even animal cages.

During their stay in Kherson, the students met and talked with the head of the diocese, Metropolitan John of Kherson and Tauride, and the vicar of the diocese, Bishop Veniamin of Skadovsk.

“Given the fact that the number of shelling of Kherson has recently increased, unfortunately, it was not possible to realize the main goal of the humanitarian mission – the evacuation of the civilian population. Volunteers were forbidden to participate in the evacuation, since it is life-threatening. Now only law enforcement agencies are involved in the export,” – the message says.
