Hungarian Vice Prime Minister Zsolt Schemien responded to the call to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry of Hungary’s Charge d’Affaires after Budapest and Moscow, with the assistance of the Russian Orthodox Church, agreed on the transfer of 11 Ukrainian prisoners of war without the knowledge of Kiev. This is reported by “European Truth” with reference to the Hungarian edition of Mandiner.
Deputy Viktor Orban believes that Ukraine should thank Hungary.
“Eleven Transcarpathians are no longer prisoners of war in Hungary, but free people. If I were a representative of Ukraine, I would say thank you for this,” said Shemien.
