The commission to check the availability, storage conditions and state of preservation of cultural property that was transferred from the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” to the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (monastery) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, will complete its work in mid-May. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Pravlife writes.

“Until May 15, 2023, the Commission must conduct an audit and prepare a relevant certificate,” the statement said.

It is noted that the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” provides the activities of the commission with “every possible assistance and maximum assistance.”

“During the work of the Commission, access to certain objects of the Reserve may be temporarily limited,” the statement said.

It is specified that the commission includes representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra”, the National Research and Restoration Center, the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Police in Kiev, and the Security Service of Ukraine.

Recall that the commission of the Ministry of Culture began work in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on March 21, 2023. The day before, the monastery received a notice that from that day on, the Near and Far Caves, as well as three churches – Exaltation of the Cross, Annozachatievsky and Warm Church in honor of the Cathedral of All Saints of the Caves, will be closed for visiting and praying.
