“Priest with RPG” has been banned since 2016 – Vicar of Patriarch Kirill

A man dressed in priestly liturgical robes and firing an RPG with the words “The Moscow Theological Academy and Seminary is fighting NATO” is a banned cleric of the Murmansk diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.  Vicar of Patriarch Kirill, Bishop Savva (Tutunov) of Zelenograd wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

“The ruling (at that time) bishop of his diocese commented on this ban with the following words: “The fact that there are a lot of crooks in our country is an undeniable and sad fact.  It is difficult to call and consider them patriots of the country; rather, they are opportunists.”  The Murmansk diocese today confirmed that he “played a lot of tricks” and had not contacted the diocese for a long time,” Bishop Savva wrote.

In addition, the hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church said that the diocese should raise the issue of depriving this cleric of dignity.
