The head of the OCU, Epiphanius, said that it would be good if the priests of the UOC moved to the OCU along with the communities that select the temples of the UOC. He said this in an interview with the OCU press service.
“Sometimes it is surprising how a pastor who has been involved in his community for 20-30 years, when the community unanimously decides to move to the OCU and asks the priest to support their action, does not support this action and says that it is better to go to work in secular work than support their decision. This is surprising, because a pastor cannot behave in this way,” Epiphanius noted.
He also added that at present, for the “translated” communities, he “has a great need for clergy.”
