Ukrainian government sends delegation to Washington to make a show of religious tolerance – Amsterdam

The head of the international human rights company Amsterdam & Partners LLP, Robert Amsterdam, who represents the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, has reported that the Ukrainian government is sending a delegation to Washington in order to convince the Americans that there are no violations of religious freedom in Ukraine. It is about the bill № 8371, aimed at banning the UOC. About this he wrote on his page in the social network X.

“The fact that in the midst of pleas for help from the West, which is fully justified, the Ukrainian government is trying to steal more churches and ban the UOC, is simply unthinkable!!!! They are literally sending a delegation to Washington to whitewash criminal behavior and pretend that religious tolerance exists!“, – wrote Robert Amsterdam.

We shall remind you that earlier we reported that Metropolitan Theodosius (Snigiryov), Metropolitan of Cherkasy and Kanev of Cherkasy and Kanevsk, who is in charge of the Cherkasy diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, had a telephone conversation with Robert Amsterdam, head of the international human rights company Amsterdam & Partners LLP, representing the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. In the course of the conversation the issues of defense of the UOC in international human rights instances were raised.
