The head of the international human rights company Amsterdam & Partners LLP, Robert Amsterdam, who represents the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, has harshly criticized the reaction of Ukrainian MPs to his recent appeal to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The human rights activist is convinced that the deputies will not be able to hide their illegal actions against the UOC. About this he wrote in his account in social network X.

“I follow the apoplectic reaction of the Ukrainian press to my letters to the Rada about the bill No. 8371. This hysteria shows that a country that bans political parties, restricts inconvenient media, postpones elections and seeks to ban the country’s largest dominant Church has lost the ability to understand political responsibility. My letters are the absolute minimum, given the gravity of the situation of the UOC, and lawmakers must realize that they can not destroy the 1000-year-old Church in silence”, – wrote Amsterdam.

We will remind, earlier we reported that Robert Amsterdam in the near future plans to record an extensive interview with the famous journalist Tucker Carlson. In it, the human rights activist will devote detailed attention to the situation with the persecution of the UOC and the possible ban of the canonical Church in Ukraine.
