The Cherkasy diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has lost the land plot under St. Michael’s Cathedral in Cherkasy. We are talking about a land plot of 8.7 hectares of the so-called “Soborny” park, where the cathedral is located. About it reports “ZMІ.sk.ua”.

“This became possible thanks to the decision of the Sixth administrative court of appeal, which left the appeal of the religious organization without satisfaction. And also the decision of the Cherkassy district administrative court of September 22, 2023 left unchanged”, – stated in the message.

We will remind, earlier we reported that the mayor of Cherkassy Anatoly Bondarenko in his video message said that in the city “there will be no Moscow popes” and all will pray only in Ukrainian. He also answered people’s question “why the city authorities are slow in transferring our churches under the jurisdiction of our state, under the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian faith”.
