Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said that he will stand up for Christian values in the country if he is elected head of state. This is reported by Christian Headlines.

“Americans of faith are not a threat to our country. Americans of faith are the soul of our country. […] Remember: Every communist regime throughout history has tried to stamp out the churches, just like every fascist regime has tried to co-op them and control them. And in America, the radical Left is trying to do both at the same time”, – Trump said.

Likewise, the former president said that if he is able to return to the White House, he will defend Christianity in all public spheres.

“When I return to the White House, I will again aggressively defend religious freedom as I have done for four years. You didn’t have a problem with it. But we will defend it in all its manifestations. We will defend Christians in our schools, in our military, in our government, and in all of these airwaves. […] And we will defend God in our public space”, – summarized the 45th president of the United States.

We shall remind you that earlier we reported that American politician and US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy was outraged by the actions of the Ukrainian authorities towards the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The politician believes that Ukraine cannot be called a democratic country if the church is being persecuted there.
