A one-party member of the mayor of Irpen announced the initiative to “transfer” a UOC temple to the OCU

The deputy of the Irpen city council from the party “New faces” Anton Golovenko, one of the partners of the mayor Oleksandr Markushin, announced the initiative to “transfer” the St. George’s Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the OCU. About this he wrote on his own page in Facebook.

“Residents of the city are waiting for the transition of the church to our CU. Also this initiative had support in the chats of the second district, where more than 90% voted in favor of the transition. I am also on the side of the community. From myself I will add that the current vicar of the church does not share our aspiration. But that is not an argument for us. We are going our own way and we will definitely bring the matter to the end. This is the desire of the community!”, – stated the deputy.

In comments to this message Golovenko promised that “the same story” awaits the Holy Trinity Church of the UOC in the center of Irpen.
