In the village of Zabuyanye, Kyiv region, supporters of the OCU seized the Holy Protection Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The event took place on October 3 at 4:00 with the participation of unknown persons in military uniform. This is reported by the telegram channel “First Cossack”.

According to the words of the parishioners of the Holy Protection religious community, they learned about the seizure of the local temple only around 6 am. Arriving at the place, the rector of the parish saw a cluster of unknown persons who cut the locks off the doors of the Church of the Intercession. At the same time, supporters of the OCU said that they do not have documents for the temple yet, and the procedure of re-registration of the religious community has not been finalized yet. Despite this, such information did not motivate the law enforcers to prevent the illegal actions of the Reders.

According to media reports, the procedure of “transfer” of the Holy Protection religious community of the village of Zabuyanje in Kyiv region began as early as June 3, 2023. At that time, the issue of confessional affiliation of the parish was decided traditionally at “meetings of the territorial community”. The opinion of the UOC believers was not taken into account.
