A resident of Carpathian region has been sentenced to 9 years in prison. This decision Ivano-Frankivsk city court made because of the murder of a man by his acquaintance for “support and justification of the UOC” in March 2022, reports “Zahid. Net”.

The investigation reported that both men were communicating on religious topics and one of them justified the activities of the UOC. After that, the killer gave him numerous blows on his body with a log, a board and a metal scoop.

During the pre-trial investigation, the man confessed to committing the murder. But later he said that he did it under pressure from law enforcers.
