The Holy Synod of the Albanian Church is outraged by the statements of the cleric of the Church of Greece against His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasius and therefore calls on the Patriarchate of Constantinople to evaluate these insults.

It is known that the letter of the Archbishop to the persecuted Ukrainian Metropolitan of Tulchin and Bratslav Jonathan served as the reason for the insults.

“The Archimandrite of the Cretan Church, who is registered on social networks as Ilias Anastasiadis, on the days of major holidays posted on his personal website gross insults against His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasius of Tirana and All Albania,” writes the website of the Albanian Church.

The Holy Synod of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania believes that the “evil writings” of Archimandrite Roman “are a gross insult not only to the two local Orthodox Churches, but also to the prestige of Orthodoxy in the Christian world” and expresses the hope that “the highest church authority, in whose no matter how she was presented, will take effective intervention to stop this misbehavior.”
