Metropolitan Longin, the abbot of the Ascension Bancheny Monastery of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese, suffered a severe stroke and has been in the hospital for several days. This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

The bishop was hospitalized on July 21, 2023, and today his condition remains serious. Both hands of the UOC hierarch, which were paralyzed, have already begun to work, but the leg is still weakly functioning.
