The reserve “offended” the UOC faithful and restricted their access to the Lavra

Pechersk reserve “offended” the believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for interfering with lawlessness, and restricted their access to the shrine. A letter with the corresponding order was published by lawyer Nikita Chekman on his own Telegram channel.

“Due to the obstruction of the work of the commission on the sealing of the released buildings on the territory of the Lower Lavra, the Reserve from 05.07.2023 made changes to the pass regime, according to which the entrance/exit is allowed from 9.00 to 18.00 daily through the gate from Lavra Street, 11,” – said in the letter.

Additionally, the Reserve reported that the commission “continues its work according to a certain plan.”

“They can’t achieve their goals – they are trying to mess with at least some of the methods available to them,” commented lawyer Nikita Chekman on the document.
