More than 300 parishioners of the UOC defended their church from the raiders of the OCU

In the village of Lenkivtsi in the Chernivtsi region, UOC believers voted at a parish meeting for loyalty to the Church led by Blessed Metropolitan Onufry. They managed to defend their Peter and Paul Church and prove to the OCU raiders that their votes were greater, the Chernivtsi diocese of the UOC reported.

According to the rector of the church, Archpriest Nikolai Rus, on the same day up to 30 activists of the OCU, under the guidance of the visiting chaplain-agitator Roman Hryschuk, tried to hold their own meeting in the local House of Culture. But after the UOC believers came, the “transfer” of the church to the OCU did not take place.

“After the meeting there was a dispute, because Grischuk began to incite people. Someone from the people spat at him. But I immediately wiped his face, apologized and said that you can’t do that, it’s wrong, especially since we are Christians,” said the rector of the temple.
