In Transcarpathia, the deputies of the regional council decided to ban the UOC, according to the regional council’s Facebook page.
As the local authorities stated, by doing this they strengthened national security “in the field of activity of public and religious organizations on the territory of the Transcarpathian region.”
To the ban in the decision, the deputies add recommendations to law enforcement agencies to ensure a quick and effective response to the discovery of facts of anti-Ukrainian propaganda by representatives of religious, public and other organizations.
