After the support of the UOC, Zaporozhye officials were deprived of their powers

Volodymyr Podorzhko, head of the Zaporozhye Regional Council, and Yegor Moroz, head of the legal support department, were stripped of a number of powers after officials came out in support of the UOC. The corresponding order, published by Ukrainian News, was signed by the head of the regional council Olena Zhuk.

Officials were forbidden to put their signatures on official documents and expelled from the Coordinating Council for the activities of regional utilities and institutions. In addition, Yegor Moroz was deprived of the powers of the secretary of the Coordinating Council.

“The regional council notes that such restrictions on the powers of both officials are just the beginning. The issue of dismissal of Podorozhko and Moroz from their positions is also being discussed,” the journalists added.
