Archimandrite Polikarp (Linenko), a resident of the Lavra, commented on another provocation against the UOC on the air of Channel 5.
Recall that on the morning of April 25, a car drove up to the building of the Kyiv Theological Academy, which was immediately approached by a film crew of Channel 5 and began to ask questions of a political nature.
The driver, according to the priest, in an interview “told some nonsense about the history of our state” and current events. After that, the man hastily left the car and fled in an unknown direction.
“The official position of the monastery is not at all in tune with his words,” said Archimandrite Polikarp.
The UOC stressed that the person who spoke with the journalist “is not a monk or clergyman of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and has nothing to do with teachers or students of the Kiev Theological Academy and Seminary.”
