On April 25, 2023, another provocation took place live on Channel 5 against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the territory of the KDA.

It is known that at about 10 am, a car drove up to the administrative building (No. 64) of the Kiev Theological Academy, which was immediately approached by a film crew of Channel 5 and began to raise questions of an exclusively political nature that did not concern the Lavra, including the termination of the agreement with Reserve, etc. The man who was driving the car responded to the camera in the spirit of Russian propaganda. After that, the man hastily left the car and fled in an unknown direction.

In this regard, the Information and Education Department of the UOC declares that this case is a pre-planned provocation of Channel 5 journalists.

We emphasize that the person who spoke with the Channel 5 journalist is not a monk or clergyman of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and has nothing to do with teachers or students of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary.
