The Ministry of Culture made a statement in which it acknowledged that there are still no conclusions of the commission to break the agreement with Lavra

The commission of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy to verify the availability, storage conditions and state of preservation of cultural property that was transferred from the National Reserve “Kiev-Pechersk Lavra” to the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, had no conclusions to terminate the contract and plans to prepare them in just a month. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the response of the Ministry of Culture to a request, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

“By order of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy dated March 16, 2023 No. 115, a commission was formed to check the availability, storage conditions and state of preservation of cultural property transferred from the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” to the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (monastery) The Ukrainian Orthodox Church… The commission carries out the specified check from March 15 to May 15. After the completion of the commission’s work, the relevant conclusions will be prepared,” the Ministry of Culture said in response to a request from the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
