The SSU reported the suspicion to the rector of the Exaltation of the Cross Cathedral of the UOC in Uzhgorod, father Sidor, writes Pershiy Kozatsky.

He is suspected of involvement in inciting religious hatred (part 1 of article 161 of the Criminal Code – violation of the equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality, religious affiliation).

“Last December, he repeatedly publicly insulted the religious feelings of Ukrainians who expressed a desire to celebrate Christmas on December 25,” the SSU said.

The SSU claims that more than 7 episodes have been documented, when the priest “humiliated the religious feelings of citizens of another confession and tried to form hostile moods towards them.”
