The Migration Service abolished the citizenship of Bishop Gideon and four other hierarchs of the UOC

The State Migration Service of Ukraine has canceled the Ukrainian citizenship of five hierarchs of the UOC, and closed the immigration permit for one. About it writes LB.ua.

According to the publication, the decision was made in early January, when the citizenship of 13 representatives of the UOC-MP was suspended by presidential decree, and in accordance with Art. 21 of the Law of Ukraine “On Citizenship”. It concerns two archbishops, a bishop and two metropolitans. In particular, the document includes:

Archbishop Panteleimon of Bucha (Bashchuk Viktor Romanovich);

Bishop Gideon of Makarov (Kharon Yuri Samuilovich);

Bishop Spiridon of Vyshnivets (Romanov Andrey Vladimirovich);

Archbishop Victor of Artsyz (Bykov Vladislav Olegovich);

Metropolitan Mark of Khust (Petrovtsy Nikolay Ivanovich).

Metropolitan Platon of Feodosia (Udovenko Volodymyr Petrovich) was banned by the migration service from immigration (that is, the entry of Ukraine or the stay in Ukraine of foreigners and stateless persons for permanent residence).
