On February 15, 2023, the Kyiv Economic Court ordered “to vacate the site of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine from the illegally built “temple-maf”. We are talking about the building of the Tithes Monastery of the UOC. This was announced by the Minister of Culture Alexander Tkachenko on his own Telegram channel.

Tkachenko noted that “the claim of the museum is satisfied. The placement of this structure on the land plot of the museum contradicts its intended use. This violates the requirements of paragraph “a” of part 1 of Art. 91 of the Land Code”.

“Temple-kiosk” is located in the buffer zone of UNESCO monuments, where new construction is prohibited, and also violates the ensemble of the historical archaeological complex “Tithing Church,” he added and thanked everyone for the “honest decision.”
